UNLOOC: Pioneering Organ-on-Chip Technology to Revolutionize Drug Development and Eliminate Animal Testing

UNLOOC is leading the charge in developing innovative Organ-on-Chip (OOC) technologies, aiming to replace animal testing in drug development with more ethical and effective alternatives. By using human cells directly, UNLOOC bridges the gender gap in medical research and paves the way for personalized medicine, making it a true game changer in the field.

This ambitious 3-year project unites 51 organizations across 10 European countries to tackle the limitations of animal-based drug testing. Through five novel use cases, the UNLOOC consortium will showcase how cutting-edge OOC technology can enhance the development of more effective treatments while completely eliminating the need for animal subjects.
